What Makes Us Special

About Allegheny College

Allegheny is one of the few colleges in the country to require students to take both a major and a minor — each of which is in a different academic division. For example, a student might combine a major in biology with a minor in music, or a major in English with a minor in international studies. Those combinations help to cultivate intellectual growth and the creative, big-picture thinking desired by employers and graduate schools.
