Founded in 1887 by the School Sisters of St. Francis, Alverno College is an internationally known, four-year liberal arts college dedicated to the personal and professional development of women. Known for its innovative, abilities-based, assessment-as-learning approach to education, Alverno College is one of the nation's largest Catholic women's colleges. Alverno offers over 60 areas of study available in weekday and evening/online formats. Men are admitted to graduate, licensure, and degree completion programs.
