What Makes Us Special

About Bennington College

Bennington asks our students not just to work hard, but to be deeply engaged in shaping that work. Rather than receiving a list of requirements for a major, our students collaborate with faculty to craft a program of study tailored to their particular interests and aspirations. We require every student, every year to get an internship or other work experience. We expect all students--programmers to performers--to not just study, but to practice in their fields.
