What Makes Us Special

About St. John's College, Annapolis

Known for our Great Books-based program, St. John’s takes a multidisciplinary approach to education. All students pursue a rigorous four-year curriculum through which they read and engage directly with foundational works in Western philosophy, literature, history, politics, theology, economics, music, mathematics, and the laboratory sciences. Classes are conducted as conversational seminars, and our students are intellectually adventurous young people excited to read about and discuss important issues in close community with their peers.
