What Makes Us Special

About St. John's College, Santa Fe

SJC is a small liberal arts college with a unique Great Books program that offers seminar-style classes (8:1 student-to-teacher ratio). Rigorous discussion is central to our program, which elicits intellectually diverse inquiry in an interdisciplinary environment where philosophy, literature, mathematics, science, music, political theory, history, economics, are all explored. The Books awaken our questioning spirit, challenge understanding, and illumine lives. ‘Johnnies’ are voracious readers who are excited by ideas, questions, and probing conversations.
