About Wayland Baptist University

Founded in 1908 by a pioneer physician, Wayland Baptist University has prided itself on over a century of service. Since its inception, WBU exists to educate students in an academically challenging, learning-focused and distinctively Christian environment for professional success and service to God and humankind. Wayland's home campus in Plainview caters to a traditional student. The university has 13 external campuses in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arizona, Alaska, Hawaii and Kenya.
